Abstract

The objective of this engineering project is to invent the counter machine for line production by using the infrared sensors which will detect the objects in the production line. Microcontroller board (Arduino) and LabView Program were used to control the machine. The object detection data will be transferred from microcontroller board via LabView Program for a real time processing of the sensors and will be shown on user interface screen. The users can configure parameters for the program to count the items which based upon the feedback control principle, once the counting items reached the target numbers the feedback control will initiate the action to alert users on the user interface screen. The result of this engineering project by doing a dry run the program and performing a simple demonstration to count the items and repeat 5 times found that the sensors were able to count the items correctly and the program works very well.
