Abstract

This engineering project aims to increase the working efficiency of the import and export department of cars by helping the workers to find documents more quickly and current documents. The study process begins with study of the import cars and car parts process of the import and export department including the preparation of documents from the Thailand automotive institute, Thai industrial standards institute, national broadcasting and telecommunication commission, department of energy business, excise department, department of land transport and the car import. The study found problems in the search of documents because the documents were scattered, the documents is not current including the lack of clear work procedures resulting in long time searching for documents, choosing the wrong document and unable to perform the work in sequence. The organizers use the principles of filling system and document management system in the overall study. Then analyze the problems by using fishbone diagram to improve the work process to be most efficient by applying the ECRS principles and using one point lesson (OPL) to create an operational manual. From increasing efficiency in the importing process of car and car parts, resulting in a faster document search, current version of documents and enable the work to be done step by step without any leftover work.
