Abstract

Novel loop mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) can also detect one based point mutation drug resistance in Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB), by designing inner primers of 5' end specific with the mutant. The reaction was optimized by in-house turbidity biosensor at 61°C, 60 min. It showed the potential to provide a rapid and sensitive method for detecting isoniazid resistant at katG gene position 315 (G→C). The 30 clinical samples were also tested and showed 100% specificity and sensitivity comparing with Genotype® MDR-TB Plus. It could be convenient for detection of MDR-TB in field samples as well. © 2017 IEEE.
